PPL In Action

* PLEASE NOTE: These results are based on a subset of Schizophrenia (SZ) release 8.0 data selected to ensure identical data going into both forms of analyses. They are therefore not to be interpreted as results for SZ per se.

One important reason PPL results differ from results of other types of analyses is the PPL's use of sequential updating to accumulate evidence across multiple data sets or subsets, while allowing for heterogeneity both within and across data sets. Here we show visually how sequential updating changes the overall assessment of the evidence compared to standard meta-analysis.
